We have many dogs in need of foster homes while we look for their forever homes. We need all sorts of foster homes for all sorts of dogs. Short term, long term, puppies, adult dogs, dogs with special needs - they all need good homes!
Volunteer Opportunities
We have many different volunteer opportunities. Some are long term, some are temporary or seasonal.
Some require a considerable time commitment, while others can be done with 30 minutes every week.
Training and necessary supplies are provided.  Unfortunately, we are not able to accept community service hour volunteering.

You can help touch the lives of rescued homeless animals in our care awaiting adoption. Every dollar makes a difference. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization. We depend upon private donations, as we receive no local, state or federal financial support. The Alternative Humane Society appreciates your generosity and all donations made are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Your donation will be acknowledged.

AHS does not share your personal information. Your privacy and the security of your donation is important and protected.

Your donation allows us to help more people pay to spay and neuter their cats and dogs, provide more community education about the care of cats and dogs, and continue to rescue and place homeless dogs.
